In December 2004, Dan's work received recognition in the form of the Jini Contributors Award. More recently (December 2005) he was elected to the General House of the JINI Technical Oversight Committee. He is also a committer for the Jini incubator project at Apache.
Dan recently presented at the Inaugural Next Net meeting on Amazon EC2/S3 and some of the infrastructure being built at Lone Crusader Ltd.
